We thrive in nature and feel better and healthier when we rely on whole food and herbs in order to help bring in the elements of nature into our daily lives. Interestingly, Japan did a study on ‘Forest Bathing’ which demonstrated walking, meditating, exercising, and playing among trees in a forest-like environment has physical and emotional benefits which surpass those above-mentioned activities performed alone or in an urban environment.
Even further, the study also revealed that simply sitting in a chair gazing at forest scenery for 20 minutes reduced stress hormones by 13% compared to those in a city environment. A view of water – such as a lake, pond, river or other water feature improved the effect.
